USED MATERIALS

Among the materials we use to make our pieces are copper and bronze, which we bathe in 22k gold or rhodium plating, and pieces in 925 sterling silver with a 22k gold plating.

PARTS DURABILITY

Gold-plated pieces require greater care to preserve the gold plating for longer. The gold bath, regardless of its denomination, has an estimated life time, it will go away due to use or time if proper care is not given.

Many pieces of alloy jewelry use copper, especially in yellow gold pieces, to give color and carat to the jewel. This small proportion of copper can react with the acid content of the skin, the pH, causing that reaction that leaves as a consequence a  rust mark on the skin of black or greenish color. Silver oxidizes over time creating stains on the piece, which, if combined with a high level of acidity in the skin, can speed up the process, leaving a green stain on the piece.

How to eliminate and avoid stains caused by pH and other agents?

Many times it will be enough that the piece is not in contact with external agents that damage its composition, such as shower water, swimming pool water, chemicals, cosmetics, pollution, pharmacy products.

To reduce the acidity of the pH we can also vary our diet by consuming some fruits and coffee.

Finally, it is important that we put on the jewelry with dry skin. Wait until you dry well to put them on, because as we have said, water can also alter the pH.
